The children asked if we could learn about the gingerbread man. That sneaky gingerbread man has been hiding around the school sending us videos. We have made wanted posters, used adjectives to describe him and made traps in the forest.

Our first week of school has been super busy. We worked together to create a class charter. We also painted our self portraits and used see-saw to describe ourselves. Weโve had lots of fun!
Today we had transition into our new classes. Miss Hancock and Mrs Gardiner are very excited for the new term. Our topic will be โOur wonderful worldโ. Today we asked the children what they wanted to learn about. Here are the fantastic ideas they came up with!

"I am as tall as a ....." We have been measuring ourselves in comparison to animal heights. Miss Hancock is taller than the chart so we have decided she is a giraffe.
We are enjoying our enhanced provision for our mini beast topic.
Our fruit tasting was super. We wrote lots of lovely descriptions.
Today we tasted fruit from our focus book The Hungry Caterpillar. We then wrote lovely sentences describing how the fruit tasted. We used super adjectives!
Our summer term topic is ‘wiggle and crawl’ which is all about mini beasts. We are super excited for this topic.
We had lots of fun on our trip to Aberavon Beach!

Our topic for summer term 2 is “Who lives in a rock pool”. We have been exploring animals, rock pools, food chains and habitats already! We are going to extend our learning with a trip to the beach.

Thank you to the parents of Dosbarth 2 that participated in our parent taster afternoon. We hope to arrange another one in the next term.

Chinese New Year- Dosbarth 2 made hats and tasted Chinese food to celebrate.
