Our project title for the spring term is 'Tribe'
This term our topic has been a yummy journey of discovery! 'Here's food for thought - if you are what you eat... what does that make YOU?'
We are having a absolutely amazing time in the glorious sunshine! We have been so lucky with the weather. The children have thoroughly enjoyed every activity and there are smiles all around.
We have a day of water sports ahead, so the sunshine is much appreciated!
we have not been able to post any pictures or messages up until now because of the lack of wifi and service problems.
Enjoy the rest of the peace, your little darlings will be back with a vengeance tomorrow. Pictures to swiftly follow.

Our topic this term is Voices of the Rhondda. Your children have produced some fantastic literature about our beautiful valley and our heritage. Our fabulous work has come in the form of poetry, diaries, descriptive writing and biographies. We have also had the pleasure of visiting the Rhondda Heritage Park to experience the gruelling life of a miner. It was really informative!
We are also studying the work of Valerie Ganz, an artist who became passionate about the plight of the Rhondda miners. It would be lovely if you can have a look at some of her work on the internet or in the library and produce some art work at home with your child and they can share it with their classmates!
If you are as passionate about our valley as we are, could you share with your children a story, a song, a piece of art or poem about the Rhondda Valley that they can share with the class this term.
