Topic for the spring term is titled 'The Romans are Coming!'
Class 5 will be learning all about how the Romans invaded Wales and there will be a visit to Caerleon to enhance our understanding and engagement in this topic and learning.
Our project for the first half of the Autumn term has been about a yummy journey of discovery, tasting fantastic fruits, venerable vegetables and tantalising treats! We have worked up an appetite with delicious stories and poetry about food, designed and made a fruity sculptor and writen exciting recipes. We have created and whizzed up our own scrumdiddlyumptious smoothie for Squeezy Joe and his team of fruity friends! Some of us had never tried a smoothie before, they were delicious!
To get us excited about this topic, we were lucky enough to visit a big chain supermarket, Tesco's. We received VIP treatment visiting the bakery and lots of other off limits areas of the store. We ended the trip with a food tasting experience, delicious!
Today we visited All Saints church where we carried out our harvest assembly. Our class performed Food Glorious Food from the musical Oliver.
During the Autumn term our topic is Scrumdiddlyumtious. So far we have made lots of tasty treats and enjoyed a behind the scenes trip to Tesco. It was super fun!
